What is the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT)?

The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the official physical fitness assessment for the United States Army, designed to better connect fitness with combat readiness for Soldiers.

ACFT and Promotion Points

How ACFT Affects Your Career

  • Maximum 100 promotion points available
  • Minimum 60 points required per event
  • Higher scores increase promotion chances
  • Affects NCO Evaluation Reports

Promotion Points Scale

  • 500-600 points = 100 promotion points
  • 450-499 points = 90 promotion points
  • 400-449 points = 80 promotion points
  • 360-399 points = 70 promotion points
  • Below 360 = 0 promotion points

Meeting height and weight standards is crucial alongside ACFT performance.

Important Note:

Soldiers must meet both ACFT and body composition standards to be considered fully qualified for duty and promotion.
